OUT OF CHARACTER RULES
IN CHARACTER RULES
- We're all here for the same reason: To have a good time. Therefore, respect should be given mutually, no matter a player's rank. It doesn't matter if you're a newbie, a mod, or the stinkin' admin, everyone deserves respect.
- There is no post requirement, but you should avoid one-liners and try to match your fellow poster's word amount, if possible. Quality over Quantity!
- Use your best grammar. No text-chat.
- Trolling or flamebaiting is not allowed.
- There is no limit to characters, but we trust the players not to take on more than they can manage.
- This is a one-account site, where you use one account for OOC and IC interactions. It's highly encouraged that you put a link to your character log in your signature so people can look up your characters easily.
- IC conflict is fun, OOC conflict is not. If you have a problem with another player, you may attempt to (respectfully) resolve it yourselves via PM system. If you cannot reach a resolution, you may call in a mod or admin to mediate. We don't want bitterness or resentment on here to spoil everyone's day.
- This is a fantasy roleplay, therefore fantasy colors and markings are allowed, and creativity with appearances is encouraged. Neon green sparklewolves with swirly pink eyes and the like are not, however.
- Please, please do not form cliques or otherwise exclude players! This makes things miserable those excluded, especially if they are new to the site. It doesn't have to be a giant lovefest, but give the newbies a chance.
- Using a table is fine, but for crying out loud, don't make the text so tiny and dark that it can't be read without straining your eyes!
IN CHARACTER RULES
- Each IC season lasts three OOC weeks. Liquid time is allowed here. (Chalk it up to the time guardian doing a Face Heel Turn.)
- Godmodding, autohitting, and powerplaying should be kept to a minimum. Nipping/pawing/general touching is allowed, but nothing more than that on neutral lands. Within a claimed territory, however, group members may powerplay against trespassers to a larger extent, such as biting, clawing, or pinning. Group leaders may do the same to members.
- Killing a character not in Tier 3 (see 9. Combat) without OOC consent anywhere is expressly forbidden.
- Keep it PG-13. No extreme gore, and mating should take place during a timeskip or "fade to black" scenario.
- No perfect characters. Nobody wants to play with a white blue-eyed wolf that has diamond wings and poops rainbows. Nobody. You character can be full of themselves, but they must have flaws and weaknesses.
- Realism is important, even in a fantasy roleplay. A kitten would not able to kill a bear, and it's highly unlikely a single grown feline would be able to, either.
- Try to keep "wolfspeak" to a minimum, calling things daggers and audicles and mandibles and such.
- Each time your character's birth season rolls around, you may age your character one year, though I don't expressly enforce this rule. However, abusing it for dozens of IC years is frowned upon. Littermates should all age at once.
- Male characters cannot be forceclaimed/press-ganged anywhere other than the Drowned Forest. Children under two years and females can be forceclaimed into a group anywhere but the Ancient Shrine, however, those wishing to have their characters claimed may give consent by posting in the Drowned Forest. Outside of the Forest, players can state whether or not they're open to a character being claimed, in a signature for instance, but it would be polite to ask if you're not sure. Fighting for your freedom is very much allowed. Formal invitations can be done in the Birchglen, as can claims unless a thread is marked [NO CLAIM].
